Here's a whole coin shot.Maybe coop can do his magic. The doubling on Liberty is more n/s as opposed to the slight w/e on the on 002.

Did you look for die-2 markers?

Ed, Ken, I don't think it is any of thopse on site! The "L" is different than any of them. That is the first thing I noticed. You may have a new one! Opinions? Check the "L", it is different.

Ed,I looked for the markers and only 1 may be close. It's the die scratch at the low point on the shoulder/coat in the gap close to the rim but it's not quite the same.I was also looking at #4 but the doubling is stronger on this coin.

Doubling is right on the motto so it can be 2, 4, 5, 7.
It's stronger and more spread than 4 and 5.
That only leaves 2 or 7. I think it's stronger than 7 so it would be 2.
To be sure you might also look close for 7 markers. Most die 7 that I've seen have a bump in the lips.

Very nice find Ken. It would be even better if it did turn out to be a new listing, but regardless the coin looks to be a definate keeper.
Congrats,
Rock

Ken: The spread of the hubbings look the same as far as I can see. But here are a side by side comparison with your coin and an image of mine.
Here is a closer image with some devices that may need to be checked. The splits in the LIB and the spread of the GOD letters. See if this image helps?
Circulation may have flattened some of the splits or the image didn't show them on your image. But if more are needed, let me know.

It appears that your coin is indeed 1972P-1DO-002 - congrats! These are somewhat scarce and pretty valuable these days.
