Dick,
Those are nice examples!  I've seen a few cents with the under-chin clash near the date, such as a 1955 1c I have in MS65 (ICCS) with a very pronounced clash. But what I don't get is that 1963, which shows the chin mark, plus a few isolated dents where the die face should be smooth?  Some other die blunder I guess?

kurt, this is not the best shot, but it shows the remnants location:
I was looking at my "Album of photos". It sure shaws what a beginner can do! One doesn't realize how bad thety are, until later, when checking back for any one in particular. then the horrible truth comes out! I think I will delete about 90% of them. Later.
