No doubt on the doubling on the seventh column. Whats with the sixth column, never seen one with that great of an angle. Maybe just a die gouge of some sort.

I don't have an answer for you, but it is pretty cool looking. I'll be curious to see if anyone comes up with an explanation.
How about the obvious, just a big die break.

There are several of them with the angled bar, as though it was tilted, and settled with the first impact, then was struck while settling in place, to give it the doubled bar. Just an idea.

I've found a few like the example posted.
The last two images John Wexler listed as doubled dies. When I found them and took the images I thought there were gouges. The last one I did an overlay and determined the doubling was exactly spaced the same as the distance between two columns. That make me think likewise since then.

morgansaremine, did you notice the small angled mark on the 7th column? It corresponds to the distance between the column spacing. It is not very noticable, but it is there. nice DDR!

Thanks fellas, no I didn't notice under the bar on the 7th column. With further inspection, there is 2 or 3 small spikes that seem to run in the same direction as the upper left side.
