Yes, thank you Mike. As we all can see, understanding error coins is a bit more complicted than understanding what has happened with a variety coin. The information that you have given is appreciated.

tholley, I may be dead wrong, but I sure don't think this is "ligit"! Too many things just don't feel right! The crease across the base of the bust, and another thru the motto, at the top.It is "face-to-face, and My vision tells me that "liberty is twice shown, right side up, AND upside down!!! this indicated to me it very likey is a "garage job". . then there is thr reverse, How did it get into the picture, and with a different rotation??? Experts??

It's legit. I got it out of an OBW roll of cents. I've had it for a few years now. Been meaning to send it off to get slabbed.

I think it's legit.

I also have a double struck 1980, it also came from a bank roll but mine has almost no rotation. Just looks like it stayed and got struck a few times. Mine is sort of ugly. Wink

I have no doubts about its authenticity. Everything is as it should be.

I haven't had a chance to post a thank you Mike since I've been busy with the wedding this past saturday, but it's done and over and back to normal. So thank you for the great description and clearing a lot up. Sometimes I will assume things without fully understanding the mechanics. Your post is well appreciated.
Thanks,
Rock
