This is just such a beautiful coin for getting @ the grocery store. There is something about it, I'm hoping maybe DDO though I believe the ones listed here are LD, is this SD? It does have a die clash in Bay 8 like 1960D-1DO-003?
Also would this be what a proof looks like. There are lots of heavy die scratches or trails through BER of liberty. Not above nor below, contained within the letters? Thanks for your opinions. Either way it is a beautiful coin, pictures do not capture.

It's a 60-d small date.

It looks unc or AU with a small spot, probably not easy to find an unc 60-d SD in circulation but they're cheap to buy in rolls because so many were saved.

Yup, looks like an average 1960D small date cent. Quite odd for change these days, but Ed is right...they really aren't worth much of anything because of the number saved. I probably have at least 100 BU rolls of them here.

Actually I have more older stuff the past year in change, including those 3 silver certificates. Times are tuff! Just to glance at this coin, you'd think it was a newer coin & wouldn't give it a second thought.

I get the same feeling, tough times are bringing out older coins and bills.

In a way it's nice to see the old stuff but sad to see the country in such a troubled time. Every old coin shook loose by this mess must have a sad story. I wonder how far the trouble will reach. I don't see the end of it anyplace soon.

Ed, I agree with your thinking, but it would be nice if one can "hit the bank", and pick up a few "customer-wrapped rolls"! BTW, I sent you a PM.
