Rock, the 1920 and 1953 appear to be struck through grease. On the 1909 VDB it wouldn't surprise me if that is another lamination error.

Your right about the 1920 and 1953. Those are certainly grease filled areas on the dies. You may be right as far as the 1909 vdb too, but that one I'm not so sure it is lamination.

Rock, I tend to agree that the '09 VDB is a lamination. They have some very baffleing appearances, at times.
