1858FE, with the SNOW-7 on the '57 Rev. In the field above "one cent": K-9:30-10:30 next to the "O" in One. Then in the fielf above the "hump" of the "N", and above the "E", appears to be the REV of a Standing Liberty Quarter. An O verlay of this "cladh", would be much help. Coop? Can you help? Thanks! Have a look:

Not a good picture. Can take another shot if needed.
Dick

Dick, how interesting! Very Happy
Let me pull up my notes later and see how the overlays by Rick Snow compares to your coin.

Dick...if this is a 1858, probably not a clash with the seated liberty quarter--those odd clashes are all 1857, none documented for '58--good question though! Very Happy Regarding your coin...it would be really good to see the whole obverse because there are a lot of varieties this year. Very Happy

Something to note too...if you're used to the microscopic varieties for Lincoln cents, it's helpful to back off a little when viewing the FE and IHC series--because all the die varieties are at a much larger scale. Focus down too finely, and you'll pick up the "noise" created by the 19th C. minting processes.

Check your email.....
That is good advice, and I would normally take it, but as you know there is a problem. I use a 20X/40X scope for viewing. I can't see all of the digits with the 20X, and would miss every one of the RPD's! I need the digit/letter very large, in order to see wenough of it to tell if there is anything out of order. "If it isn't the size of a house, I don't see it". LOL
It is a 1858, and I'll post a full face shot of the REV. The clash is REV:REV, not "OBV/REV.
