Hi Folks. I got my rolls from the US mint, and was pleasantly surprised to see these in there. ENJOY!!

The DDO above is probably too minor to list but shows that notching can be present on theses coins. The DDRs both have dates that exhibit extra thickness with a shift we found prevalent in 2006.

Bob, you are very lucky! Not everyone will receive such a gift!
What all types of TR/DDO/DDR were found on the log cabin, if any, (other yhan the trails)?

Dick, there has been one reported DDR for the Log Cabin series, and that die is on coppercoins. So far, I have not heard of any others.

In addition to the ones I pictured here, I just found another different DDR for the Formative years series. Pretty minor, but definitely another DDR. There may be many more. I have not checked the rolls from the Denver Mint yet.

Nice going Bob. It's good to see some legit varieties start to come out of this series instead of minor mmd's selling for $800 on ebay. I haven't opened my formative years yet. I only bought 1 set and was going to keep it in tack. maybe I'll order a couple more before they are sold out. Can't wait to see what the D's have.
keep us posted.

Great going Bob. I am not to sure that the DDO is that minor, but then again I can not see the full Y. This maybe a banner series for the doubled die the way things look.

Very nice finds Bob. Those DDR are very cool looking, and worth keeping an eye out for.

Hey Garry

Yeah I know. I've been really busy and have not done anything coin collecting related in some time. I do stop by here once in a while though.

Nice to see that someone has been getting the 09 Lincolns. I still haven't seen any of the birth & childhood cents in change, and picked up a formative years cent off the floor at Wal Mart - the ONLY one of those I've ever seen. Oddly enough we are well embedded in the D mint area and this one was a P mint.

It must be nice to see all the new cents, laying around on the floor! maybe no one believes they are real, and just tossed them away!. I have begged my bank to get me a box, or even a roll, but they only say we will try, and go back to doing what they always do; LIE! That is okay, one day they will have to start all over, with the 2010 cent, then the fun will begin! No doubt!

The only 'formative years' cent in this area came from the cash register at Wal Mart! My brother was given 4 in change.

I havent seen one circulating. My coin shop has two rolls of the second set on the bid board. One P mint and one D mint. $60 for the pair is the starting bid

The two rolls of cents "on ths board", cost the seller abiout $15.00, and plans on making at least four times the cost! For a common BU coin, 2009, that is voracious greed! I couldn't live with my concsience, If I were to do something similar!

The rolls from the mint (LP1 and LP2) get a premium over bank rolls. (also seems like most DDRs are from them)

I'm not saying it's worth it but it's the way it goes Smile

I haven't got eager to buy and mint rolls or bank rolls at todays prices but I'd be happy to get some for cheap.

Smile
