I got this in change yesterday, in fact two of them, but haven't checked out the other. I don't think it is the 00, but I can't see it well enough to say for sure. It might be the 018, or the 023, but in all cases, none of the markers are present. It has lots of luster, and possibly be a new one. Anyone's guess.

TYhanks for looking,
Dick

Hi Dick, took a quick look through, but as you well know I'm a novice! The 9 kinda has a hump on top. Yours seems to unless it is smashed? My eyes aren't much better than yours.

Hi Teri, TYhanks roe the reply. I am not sure what the 'thing" is at K-1. I don't think it is a remnant from another "D". and I have no idea where "on top" is a lump, or bump. I also tried to make an overlay, but that failed. couldn't get anything to work, other than two images, very dis-similat in size. If I had a way to go to Coop's house, I would stay there until I could make "overlays in my sleep"! Odd part is, I follow the instructions he gave me for making the overlay, on the '09 cabin, and it comes out. When I use an image from the site, and one from my coin, averything turns to "something nasty"! I sure wish I hadn't been hiding behind the door, when the brains were handed out!

LOL. I was under the table Laughing Know nothing about overlays! Do you have to have software on your computer to do it or can you do it online like photobucket?

Teri, If I read, and understood your questions, ritht, then the answer would be "yes, no. I have the saoftware, but it is so complicated that I get lost trying to type my name, and it is inly forr letters. In Photobucket, all i do there is up-load, and when i want to ust an image, I "light ;'em all up", and go hunting. Eventualy, i find the one I want, (much easier than trying to find it on my computet!!!), then I do the things, and post the image. no overlay involved, (or I would really be in big trouble)!

Dick: Have you tried 1956D-1MM-017? Copy that image from the site and your image and crop them exactly alike. I used the verticals on the inside of the 1 and the West edge if the 6 in the date. After cropping both images exactly the same I made the setting for the images to 400 pixels wide. (Vertical height doesn't matter. Just the width.) You image was taller so I made a layer of the image from coppercoins 017 and moved it on top of your image. It was a match. Now you try it. Nice find.

Coop, I tried that one, but none of the markers were there, so I rejected it. I did, however use bothe the tilted, and rotated guides, due to the appearance of the MM. I'll give it a shot, and see what I can do. Thanks for making the ID. now I will "try' to confirm. (I still have the "step-by-step), so it might eventually work. Laughing , for me, that is.

Hey Dick, like I've been told previously, sometimes the markers wear like on my 1961D-1MM-001, I posted not too long ago. just a thought, trying to contribute instead of always asking for help....hope that helps Smile

Teri, All comments are welcome, because i still walk the same path to knowledgr, and, every now, and again, some actually sticks! BTW, I'm working on another '56-D, that came with the other one. Not sure what it is yet, but will advise, or ask for help! Wink
