Went back to work Dick and found this. At first I thought it was just ripples in the copper layer. Under the scope, I'm not so sure.
Same pics just higher up to show the fields.

You are correct. Not trails. The thing i use for making sure which is which: Trails always seem to originate from a point, as in the sharp corner of a device. i may be in error, but that is how I search for them. hope this helps,

I am fairly sure that these are not trails, even though a working hub affected with trails would look like this.

BJ, Am I ciorrect in saying that, given the working hub WAS affected by, or with trails, wouldn't the same theory apply? That is, the trails originate at points, and in the case of a hub being affected, they would be "incuse," on the coin. Correct?
