I see the board now shows a different "rank" icon along with how many posts we have made. Those new icons look a lot like military campaign ribbons. Is that the idea? I kind of like it.
How's this modification... first 50 or 100 posts you get the red circle(s). After that, you've earned your "ribbon". Then for every additional 50 or 100 posts you get a "bronze oak leaf cluster" on your ribbon. Five bronzes then would equal a silver one.
On second thought, many/most people probably wouldn't make the connection.

Actually the ranks are a lot like campaign ribbons, but instead of having "devices" for everyone, the thickness and number of bands change with ranks. The only "devices" are for the admin and moderator so they are easily distinguishable. Glad you like them - I didn't like the circle idea after seeing it a few dozen times...thought it was time for a change.

Nice idea there Mr. Chuck. I like it. Makes me feel like I'm back in uniform! Does this mean I have to get another mounting bar to add this ribbon? I looked for an "M" device at clothing sales, but they said something like.....It doesn't stand for MUSTBEBOB...does it?

BTW Mr. Chuck....I did indeed notice the little diamond. Real nice touch. As far as the AM thingy goes, I guess it's better than me posting first..then you. Then it would be "MA" !!

I was thnking about when the Nave had an interceptor squadron, attached to the Air force, and we competed for the "A", not the Nave "E". I huess it follows the theme . "A", Moderator, "M", Administrator.
