Now you know whose hands we are in!
The democrats voted to give free health care to 12 million illegals! I wionder how long this is going to continue? No country in the world would even think of doing this, so why US? It is time we did some serious thinking about doing what is necessary to STOP any mor stupid ideas from being thought od, and the corresponding load being [placed on our backs! I don't know if RECALL, of]r IMPEACHMENT would work, but their is ONE thing that will work: There are enough vets from WWII, and on to make their voice heard, loud and clear, if it come to that. I frankly, have had enough of the destruction of my country! What is your position?

LOL.... Dick, I was thinking a layoff/fire for about 75% of the government and paycut for the rest would be fitting. They screwed up and did a bad job and now the gov is broke.

No bill has been passed in either chamber. So what is the basis of your claim? Which page of which 1000 page proposal can you cite to support your claim?

The health care bill he is speakiing of will never pass. Most of the democrats have already bailed due to lack of funding. I believe the president will be trying to sell it to the public tonight. Its suppose to cover 97 percent of all the people in the US

That's why we have a vote. The country spoke last November. I wonder how many are now regretting their decision.

I would bet that most are not regretting there vote. I alsp believe that if someone else was in office we would be in the same or worse position. This crisis did'nt appear over night and it likely will be around for awhile

Mike, It was only a nerws item, I read. what they print, is their doing, not mine. If you look at CA, and the situation here, you will agree that there is something very weong. As for the general consensus of opinion, I agree mostly, if not 188%. It is obvious that we voted for, or against the current administration, ans that is our choice, and privelige. We don't agree to anything all the time, nor do we disagree to everything all the time. My point is, we have problems, and as it was stated, they didn't happen ovenight. I blame the CONGRESS for the large majority of them for the reason that they are NOT limited to number of terms, so they gain control, by seniority, and power at the same time. not all their decisions are, or have been in the best interest of the NOTION, but instead, their own opwesonal fame, and fortune. Who votes on their own pay raises? who retires with the full salary? Limit the number of terms, and new blood, and ideas will be brought in. that will limit the control over the junior representatives. I show myage, when I say FDR had the right idea when he said<" speak softluy, and carry a big stick"! We havent had a president with "balls", in many years, so we suffer the ridicule, and disrespect from "2-bit nations, that would not even consider spitting in the face of the president od the USA. Look at them now. I'll drop it here, because I do not wish to offend anyone, esopecially my friends, and fellow collectors.
the opinions stated my me are my own, and while not always right, I stand, until given reason to believe otherwise. I am not always right, but nor am I always wrong. that is how I am.
Dick

I wasn't talking about voting them out, they get replaced with new ones that do the same things. I'm saying the government needs to be reduced from it's bloated size. It needs a balanced budget were their pay is like a zero based budget. If they didn't get paid if the money isn't there we would have a balanced budget within a year. In the good times they should be putting some % away for emergencies.

Ed, i'm sorry, but we can't have a system like that! Just think, if everyone did the right thing, and got GOV'T out of business, and let the small business operate like it should, we would not have the "good times", we enjoy!

Dick there is nothing different from your post and what we have been doing the last 50 or so years anyway. look at all the anchor baby's already here. where do you think that money comes from. they take i think like 30 billion a year from OUR social security and pay all them hospital bills that the Illegals already either cant or had no intention on paying to begin with i think it's the later.
we don't need to restructure the Government we only need to enforce the laws we have already voted on. or find a Governor or President with the nads to make the States follow the rules or get no more Government backing

Gary, what you say is what I have maintained for years: GET the "back-stabbers" out of the House, and Senate, get a president, ( Male, or female), that has "balls" enough to reform thru direct orders, the immigration laws, and close the border! That will be a good first step. Then make a concentrated effort to get the ILLEGALS ousted, NOW! If it means splitting families, then the "LEGAL" ones stay, or go voluntarily. No more "waiting for the next Administration to start getting things done, (so the current Administration won't look like a bad boy"! BUT CLOSE THE BORDER!!!That will get their attention "South of the Border", when NOTHING, OR NO ONE crosses, PRIOD! Then things will start happening. Sure, we will suffer too, rfor a while, but it will be for the benefit of the LEGAL residents, and the country, as a whole. I wnder if "Sheriff Joe Arpio" would accept the nomination for president? That is what this Nation needs, someone with guts enough to make the laws enforcable, and enforced!

Gary, I see many of us agree on many things. That is good, should there come a need for action by the "People who make the final determinations, as to who runs, (or ruins) the country". I believe the Mexicans have the right idea, in that the term of the presidents should be six yeares, and NO re-election. that would make the vote more effective, and the abolishment of the "Electoral college". It in itself, undermines the popular vote.

a bit off topic and maybe even a bit offensive to some but i don't get it. why complain about your country and run to another try to change it to fit your needs fly your flag and burn the flag of the country you are taking hostage. how hard can it be to vote for your own government and fix your own country?
heck if they ask i am sure we will give the the billions it will take to fix it lol yea right but hey it would be cheaper for us.and you never know Nancy Reagan did give Mexico millions of dollars as a gift to never be paid back if i remember correctly and that was even in writing. and some say Reagan was the best we had. in my mind he didn't come close. but he did make a few good movies

Yes, He did make good movies! I enjoyed them, all. If the truth were known, I'll bet the most surprised man alive was Reagan, when the Russians actually started "tearing down this wall"!
Time out for my "Soap Opera"! C U in an hour!
