Is anyone planning on attending the Mid America Coin Show? It is the last weekend of June. The coin was moved from Rosemont to Schaumburg, which is a little less convenient for me. But I am looking for a reason to go out there.

Someone posted on vamworld.com and said the turn-out was light at the MidAmerica Coin Expo in Schaumburg, IL. Not too surprised. The show previously was a regular at the Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont. Near the airport, near the city and public transportation. Plenty of parking across the street in a multi level garage. Schaumburg is much more time consuming to get to. The Woodfield Mall is the main attraction in Schaumburg and traffic is always heavy. I did not go for that reason.

I didn't go etiher for the first time in a long time. Of course although the parking at the Rosemont is or was $11/day, $5 to get into the place, at least getting there was easy. Of course I live 5 miles from there.
Now in Shaumburg I wouldn't know where it is, how to get there and may not be worth the drive if nothing worth going for.
With a coin show every Sunday within 15 miles of my house, a once in a while bigger one would have to really be special.

Are you referring to the NOISE show, Carl. I get to that one ocasionally as I live in Niles. I missed the August show today I have a small window of opportunity to get there as I am in church from 10:30 to 11:30. But it is a good time, for sure.
