No - Dad sold the Model A in the 80's. It was all original -- right down to the sheet glass windows (i.e. a death trap). The guy drove it home, too. I was sad to see it go.
Dad also had a 1934 Ford coupe and a 1934 Ford convertable (which turned out to be a very rare model). Both were stock and pretty much complete. With a little TLC, they would have been nice cars very valuable today. The guy who bought the convertable sold it the same data at 5X what he paid for it. My dad paid $200 for the pair in the early 60's and sold them for 10K+ in the 80's. So he thinks he did OK.
Then there was the 1936 Ford Pickup, the 1949 Chevy Pickup, the '65 Impalla and the 1955 right-hand drive bug. Growing up, we always had a classic car or two in the garage. He made money on every one -- but by the time I was out of college and could afford to buy one, he had no cool cars left.
