Here are 2 Braided Hair cents with the same date.However 1 has a thin date and the other is about twice as thick and the 1 is right in the bust.Did they change the style of the date or is this just some sort of possible damage(flatening)  :Both are similar in the amount of wear they have,with the bottom(thick date)having just a bit more wear. LMK your thoughts.Thank you

Ken, I know nothing of the older large cents, as I don't collect them. I have two, 1832, and 1850.
From what you say, and the pictures, it might just be a difference in striking pressure, ie a light strike. IMHO, and only a guess.

By looking at the stars, as well as other devices, I would say the extra thickness disparity is due to wear.
