The closed AM is the "keeper".

BJ, thanks for your reply, however, I am not sure which it is, due to my vision. I will say that if it is, I hit the "jackpot", because i found a half dozen in the first box! I was trying to relocate Chucks listing of keepers, that he posted a day,or two, ago, but can't seem to find which thread it was. Did you happen to read it? it covered the ""wam/cam, the '98, '99', and 2k. I try to keep a reference list handy, when searching, so to toss them into a separate container, for checking later, but lost it somehow. my "nanoc-brain, just doesn't retain the names. If I had one to mark, it might help. I think I;ll chamnge my name to "alice". I always seen to be in "wonder" land.

Dick,

That coin is the wide AM but for 92 the wide is the normal and the close is rare. After 92 buss strikes the close is normal and wide is rare.

looking at the two, this morning, no difference in them, that I can see, now. Last night, it sure looked like the AM was separate from the rest, but NOT! My eyes musrtt have been more tired than I thought.
Sorry,
Diock

Dick,

Your top pic is a wide AM (normal for 1992) .
The beat up coin is a close AM (normal for 1993-2008)
If your bottom pic beat up coin was a 1992 it would be a good one but it's probably a 1993-2008.

Ed, you are correct, it is a '93! I said my eyes were tired!
Just as well, as I would be unhappy to see my first one turn out to be a piece of worthless junk! Still have a chance, as there are three boxes, and three hunred coins to go. Crying or Very sad

Dick - your goal is a lofty one! Finding 1992 cent with the wrong reverse is a one in ten-billion odds...just remember that as you search. Those who have actually located examples are VERY lucky people indeed.

I hope this isn't all you're looking for.
