WOW what a big rain we have here in AZ.
I'm wandering around the house looking for leaks and happy I don't see any. Lucky, just replaced 40 broken roof tiles!

This might be most of the rain for 2010 and this dry place needed it.

\ed, Coop, that is what I call "sharing"! Therte have been three storms thru here, (and you have had two. The third is on it's way). The third is much colder, and slow-moving, so you will see more snow in the "high country". We have snow-capped mountains , but it won't last long, because the snow level is rising. it has been forecast to drop to 2500', during thios storm. As it spreads out, after leaving the coastalmareas, you will see much more snow that we have gotten, normally, for 80 yearts, or so. This is like CA was when I was a kid, visiting here. Rain, rain, always raining. We couldn't go outside and play because it was raining! Now, if we could just "lock those jet streams in place".....
Enjoy it. For me, it is a very welcome change!

I'm listening to L.A. Police, Fire and swift water rescue on the internet scanner.
There is alot of evacuations and river rescue going on out there.
Hope you and your family is safe and east of you in AZ. bring out the wading boots sounds like you might need them

Mike, we are as you say, "just fine". The only water we see is that which accumulates inside the Park area fences, ( block walls),and it is quite a bit, but not a hazard. the west side of the park has a 12' wide drain about a foot deep, to take care of the run-odd. The TV is covering all this storm system, and it is all over the board! Rain, snow, sleey , hail, thunder and lightning. This is running much slower than the other two, that went thru. The next one will be a lot worse, but it won't last, because there is another system inbound. Like Mike says, All you Desert rats better find some snow shoes, and some high ground. I know for a fact that some of the "high country" in AZ has had plenty of snow, and more on the way. As kid, I loved the snow, because I didn't have to go outside to work, etc, in the COLD that comes with bright cloudless days, and nights!. Having grown up in 6-8thousand feet altituders, it does get COLD! I liike it while it is snowing,, but, then I get my old butt inside!
