Ken, If it is convenient, could you make another image of the date, with the focus as sharp as possible? I am checking it, to see if it matches the S-10.
The view I have shows the 8se, or easst . I can't tell anything about the rest. indicating it is not the S-10, or S-11. Thanks,

To me it looks like the first/weaker punch is NW. Strongest on the 8. On the 1 it looks more west not north. I might be missing something....
Is that what you're looking at?

Extra verticle bar on the right side of the 1.The 8 does look the strongest, extra inside curves on the inner loops and curves on the right side of the 8.On the 5 again all along the right side of it.Not to much seen on the 7,just a slight bit on the right side

Or if I had a scope, that would help a great deal, although I am sure you can see what I have described in the threads with the scans provided.Scope is #1 for income tax return.

Ken, I was looking at the S-10, and wonder, is there any indication of doubling on the eye, or "united"? Also check the rev for a cud at K-10.
I agree with Chuck,,it would be better in hand.
Looking at the guide, I believe it is NOT either of the two mentioned. Rather, a good possibility of a new vareity. I think Rick Snow migjht like a look at it.

Ed, check the lower right section of the "8". you wikll see the faint shadow of the first punch both inside the bottom loop, and outside od same. the "5" has just a faint shadow in the same aerea.

The eye locatoin is to worn to see if anything going on in that area.United appears to hsve some slight extra thickness, but no distinct doubling features such as extra lines.

Ken, I imagined that would be your answer. Neither of the S-10, or the S-11, match the photo. That is why I suggested Rick having a look at it. It may be a new variety.

Inside both loops on the upper left inside of the 8 shows and also on the outside left side.
