This topic just hit the Collector's Universe Board. One of these has also found its way to Ebay

http://doubleddie.com/172501.html

A couple of the posters there are skeptical, but I think it meets the requirements of one Class of doubled die. #6 maybe?

Any thoughts?

I am no expert, but after seeing the photos, it is obvious. "A picture is worth 10,000 words"
Thanks for sharing, it was interesting reading.

It's a minor DDO and a trail die.

A good reason to keep looking, there's bound to be others for 2010.

After looking at the reverse design for the Lincoln cent, it is obvious why the MINT choose this design; there is very little likelihood for a doubled die. The area of high probability for a doubled die on this design has no field area, unlike most of the 2009 Lincoln cent reverses.

So, where does that leave us? Trail dies and obverse doubled dies will be the main occurrences as far as varieties for this coin.
