I looked didn't find anything on it, I found a 1962 penny with no fg on the back side. Is that normal or is it an error?

It's an "error" but probably a minor one. It could have happened one of 2 ways:
1. Grease/dirt filled up the "FG" in the die by accident. Coins struck with that particular grease-filled die wouldn't have an "FG". This scenario is relatively common and not a true die variety because the die itself is not incorrect.
2. The "FG" was not stamped into the die. A die without the "FG" is not in the proper configuration so it is a die variety. Coins struck with this die would also show no "FG". This scenario is much more rare.
Chances are you have a "grease-filled die" error. But I leave it for others on this board to give their opinions.
Are you able to post a picture of your coin?

Sometimes you can see lines from polishing.
This one's FG was almost gone:

A filled die is one possibility. But overzealous intentional die abrasion ("die polishing") is usually responsible for missing designer's initials.

I can see a portion of the FG in the left photo. I would tend to say it was not omitted but is a polished die as Mike has opined....

Are you confusing ED's example with the OP's question? He hasn't posted an image, yet.
I have seen that once in a while, but paid it no mind. Mostly because it most likely was due to a filled die. That was "way back when" my vision was like everyones. now I am lucky to see the coin! Or at least, most of it.

This is another case of 'severity' of the problem as to whether it is a collectible error. There are a LOT of examples of nearly - or completely missing deisgners initials on memorial cents, and I have yet to see one catch on and command any premium value over the long haul.
At one time the 1989 cents with missing designers initials on the shoulder on the obverse did command premium value only because someone pushed them in the magazines. Even those have since lost all collector interest and currently sell for little if any premium.
