It has been awhile since I have posted on this site, had to take a break from searching and other things I enjoy doing due to health, but I am getting back in the saddle again so to speak.
Your advice that you gave in my opinion is right on the spot. I can say that when I first started searching for errors and varities, I looked to hard to find something. The vast majority of the time seeing something that wasn't there because I wanted to see it.
The advice I got from you all here and one other place showed me the error of my ways, and like you discribed in your previous posts I found that if I just looked quickly at the coin under minimal maginification, I actually stated seeing things that were there, and not just what I wanted. (Damn hope that makes sense).
Now I am also of the opinion that if I miss something that is minor than it is to not worth finding at least at this point in my hunting and with my experence.
As far as some thing else that was mentioned, and think it was you who said it. I have a seperate account at my bank with a set amount in it, just for buying coins to search. When done with those coins, that money goes back into that account until I am ready to purchase more. So basicly this account stays at a set level and I never buy more than what is set here. (This keeps my other half happy which allows me to keep searching).
So what I guess what I am trying to say here, thanks for all the help from people on this site, and for those just starting out, your advice really does work extremely well if they take the time to listen to what you all say.

Dave, It is nice to see you back again! I like your idea of the second bank account, and the sole use it is intended for. That makes a double protection in that you don't over reach in your monthly expense account,,and that way get yourself between a "rock, and a hard place"!.
I may go that route, myself. I have had some close calls, but never got "bit! I have only had one NSF charge, and it was due to using "online billing. It involved a password, and they are trouble enough, in the forums, mush less using for paying bills. needless to say, I went back to the "paper trial". that way I KNIOW it was paid!
I hope your health is up, and allowing you to participate as much as you wish. it is sad , when one can't enjoy, that which is about all that is left to enjoy,.

Sometimes it might be worth buying a neat DDO.
I'm not saying to blow the budget LOL...
I mean as well as hunting for doubled dies in the wild if you look at coin shows or ebay for bargains sometimes you can get a neat one for a few bucks. Sometimes seeing examples in hand is a good way to learn. One day at a coin show I picked up a 95 DDO for $12. With my tiny loupe I could only see the B was doubled. That clued me in to the need of a stronger one then it was neat to look at the coin and say "wow just like the books showed"
