Coin world reports a new one, that compares with the 1955-S. It is a very interesting story.

Dick, it's another found of the very rare known variety. Wish I found one! I posted a story here someplace about one of the last of them that was found. The other was a high grade. It got slabbed by PCGS (64 or 65 red) but it turned ugly in the holder and they had to buy it back under the guarantee about a year later. It was almost in the 6 figures. I think there are only a few dozen of these known.

Ed, I was just about to sign, and submit, when the "puter dropped out from under me! Don't these things check to see if someone is typing, or something? It is hard enough to type the text, without having it pulled out from under you!
Anyway, I said that I had read the "E" version of Coin World, and don't get the "raag', any more. no use having to recycle all that paper.
I read both liknks, and enjoyed both. When I first joined the forum, I checked the site for all the DDO's,etc to see what they were, and how much they weere worth. I always looked for them, and after about 40 boxes of cents, I am still "Looking". I went to a different cent, and found they are just as interesting. Now I have gone to even another cent, the Canadian large cent, and they have "varieties by the dozen! I thank this forum for my having become a 'variety" collector, not to mention all that I have learned here! I almost feel comfortable, answering simple questions like is the "zincoln" a US coin? Rolling Eyes
