This here's an old lady from Okie,
She's a replant from Branson, Missouri.
She baked and she cooked till her heart wouldn't work,
Her life she thought came to an end.
But do not dispair, there's an old love affair.
Rekindled and ablazed with new journeys each day,
Gotta go, gotta hot date with "Abe".
So hello everyone, that's my story. Retired restaurant owner due to health problems. After 30 years, restarting my love of Lincolns. I collected errors in the past and am very new to the varieties.
Thank you all for having me,
Cindy

Hi Cindy, I'm very new here too, an old lady from smalltown BC Canada, and may not be able to be in here much for a while (temporary) but want to say welcome to another new woman here.
I didn't ever own a restaurant but I sure worked in a lot of them over the years, various positions from waitress, hostess, to kitchen THE cook, short order cook and dishwasher, delivery driver, staff training, you name it! Me too, basically retired due to major health issues that keep me housebound a lot and I'm into Lincolns and Canadian cents. Kids grown so I have lots of time for this new interest.
Sure wish I had all my past tips to search
Dottir (aka Carman)

Welcome ladies! I don't know if i had said welcome to Dottir, or not, but I'll say it now, to be sure.
For the record, I did a lot of "stomping" in the Boot-heel country, in '53-'54. Got to know the Night Chief of Police in Kennet, MO. (in fact he said I could park in one of the reserved spaces by the stration. He said no one would bother me, there. ) I wonder why.... ?

Thank you Dick and yes you did welcome me It's easy to forget when busy in forums, especially a few of them when posting with lots of people.
You did your foot stomping the year I became more than a twinkle in my parents eyes (53) and the year I was born (54) in Manitoba

Welcome aboard, Cdiddle!
I echo Ken's thoughts, and know you will enjoy this site!
BTW, it was a bit slow, but it has picked up quite a bit lately. most other forums are nearly dead, due to many reasons, not the least is the general state of the economy.
Many of us lurk, and most do not say much, but they are there, neverthelsess. Maybe I had better qualify that. Most of THEM don't say much. My numbers speak for themselves.....
