Now all that is felt to do ... is rotate the picture, this can be done befor you upload it to the place you post it to.

Look at your option/s from within whatever program your using, should be on the left hand side of the program you used to take the snap-shot or in your pre-view of snap-shot. Or look along the top tool bar, should be there somewere, or maybe even rotate your camera or the coin itself, if ya have to ... puts cricks in (us) old peoples' neck/s ... lol. Wink

Once again...nice pic rollmeupabe! As far as the rotating of the pic, it should be a pretty simple procedure if you can find it on your software. Which editing software package are you using? I use Adobe photoshop when I edit the pics for the site.

Bob, I could never match your skill with a camera. I heard Playboy is coming to talk to you. Don't tell the misses. I use a Nikon Coolpix 4500 which is easy to use. I have not played around with the softward packages a whole lot due to a lack of time but I will check it out (some day). Before I worry about that I am going to read some of the threads I have seen on lighting. That is the key.

I agree that lighting is so important on these pics. If you look at some of the pics I took a year ago, you will see a significant improvement on lighting, focus and editing. I was using a light ring at first, but since then, have gone to a dual fiber optic setup. Made all the difference in the world. Chuck and I now have the same set-up, but practice and pesistence make the big difference.
The software will help immensely as it allows you to sharpen images, adjust brightness, contast, hue, saturation etc. It seemed difficult to use at first, but now it is rather simple thanks to Chuck's training and critiques.
As far as Playboy coming over....They were already here, but I told them until they bring all the models over at the same time for photo shoots, I will just have to continue with coins instead. I am sure they're roounding them all up right now. Laughing
