Just remember, a Nickel is made if 75% Copper..... that's 72.5% more copper than one of those Lincolns Cents 1982 and on. But we'll stay in our own little area.
Check-out one of the highlights in the up-coming Heritage Long Beach Auction - a 1918/7-D 5c Buffalo PCGS-64+. It's An early die states with no die crack coming off perpendicular to the Indian's braid ribbon. Any guesses as to the final hammer price?
I'll say because of the bad economy, and it has a couple carbon spots - $95,000. But still if it didn't have the carbon spots it would be an MS-65!... man maybe $145,000.
