Is it from the horizontal or vertical? I use Gimp and it has a great angle tool but the two 50 degree trails I have don't compute unless I subtract from 90.
Perhaps it's called offset for a reason but I would have thought 360 would have been at 12 O'clock. Doesn't matter I guess as long as I'm in the know.

000 or 360 degrees is due north or 12:00. That is what I use as a reference. If you have a problem with one, please let me know.
