hello every one . i have a 1944-D graded by anacs ms-65.
i was inspecting it and found that there is a S next to the d just east . allso there looks to be a secount S just north of the D. about 90% of the s showing north and the east full s.
what is your opinion. there is no listing for this one.
first link is yahoo groop and secount link is msn groop for those that can't get in yahoo.

The picture is great to capture what you are seeing but I am left wondering if it is really a mint mark or a coincidence image. The size of the S looks really small next to the D and when I look at 1944 mint marks I don't see the S's to be that small.

That's interesting, but it appears to be the wrong size for a mintmark - too small. I'd be glad to test that theory under controlled conditions if you want to send the coin in for attribution. _________________ C. D. Daughtrey
