Please help in identifying this piece if you can. It belongs to another gentleman who needs to know what it is. I can read it and it seems like a grocery list with "Love your brother and God keeps giving" on the other side..thanks.

Is "Lieb die Bruder" grammatically correct? Seems to be the wrong article to use with the masculine noun Bruder. Shouldn't it be "Dein" (Your)? Or "Der" (The)

I was actually thinking the same thing when I saw the coin. As my education in German came from practical useage, I don't know if there might be some odd rule that makes this correct. It could also be a purposeful use of a neutral article to make "Brueder" a neutral word - "mankind" versus "man" - Don't know for sure, just a thought.
