Hey folks....I guess staying up past my bedtime was worth it tonight. I found the elusive 1944D-1OM-001 while finishing up with a small pile of wheats. This is the first one I have ever seen, and from what I understand...pretty rare. It's a pretty nice VF-XF example also. For those of you who are unfamiliar with it, look on top of the D mintmark, and you can clearly see the upper portion of an S mintmark. A small portion of the S can also be seen inside the D. I have had OMM # 2 for a few years now, but have hardly ever expected to find this baby. The pics will go on the site...probably tomorrow. Enjoy!

Woo-hoo! That one's NICE!!
I've been searching high and wide for one of those. Did it come out of the plastic jar?

Chuck...it did indeed come out of that plastic jar. Never expected to ever see one, never mind actually finding one. That old jar has been quite profitable so far. Still a little less that half filled, so the search goes on!
