I've been through nearly 100 rolls of Lincolns in the last two weeks, just common circ stuff from banks back east (Augusta Maine, Akron Ohio, and Charlotte NC) and have found nothing more than a few minor "wavy step" DDRs...I've increased my 1986P BU roll to nearly 40 coins, but that's the only highlight.
I run into those days where I ask myself why I go through the trouble for nothing, then usually I find something that brings things into perspective. I thought posting about it here might help my superstitious odds....so...
Today is going to be a good day. I'll find something today worth posting about, I just know it...okay...I'm done rambling about it.

C'mon Chuck.....You've been through this stuff hundreds of times. All ya gotta do is look back just a month or so ago when you cherrypicked that 68D-1DR-001. They may not all come at one time, but with patience and perseverance, it'll happen again for ya. Keep the faith you superstitious guy.

Chuck,
Glad to hear you are in that rut. Maybe that means I can get out of it. Talked with an older gentleman tonite who has 285 BU rolls from 1959 to 1980 that he wants to sell. Says he took them out of the rolls and put them in tubes for safekeeping. He claims they have been in his closet for the last 25-45 years and he never searched them for errors. What would a fair price be ? I hate to pay too much and then feel like I am in an expensive rut.

A buck a roll would be fair. A number of them are worth less than a buck, and a few of them are worth more than a buck. Without having a complete inventory, there's no way of knowing exactly what they are worth.

Chuck,
Hope your rut ended. I met the old guy and he turned me down when I offered him $1.50 per roll. A lot of the rolls were from the 1060-1966 time period and I already have a lot of those. I ended up buying 20 rolls of wheaties from him and found a bunch of rpms and a nice 1941 DDO-001 !
