sorry for repost: i'm still confused, so i've added these two pictures to further aid attributation.my question is. die_____? unfamilar with differentiating die gouges from die breaks.THANK YOU any help.

They are gouges...
gouges are heavy scratches - both are generally straight and sharp edged. Breaks and cracks look like cracks. _________________ C. D. Daughtrey
