It's a worn 1941s with a large, weak mintmark.

Welcome aboard dpb don't know if I have said this to you befor ... but welcome aboard and that's a good one, can't say I've seen that one either, but must add that I'm into other areas (doubled die/s & die varieties) but as I get more and more familiar with the RPM/s, adding this area, also ... which is another reason I like this forum and the work-in-progess of "coppercoins.com" even that much more. Tis opening a new world for me and I'm sure, many other/s also, to many new and exciting area/s, that I have yet to explore.
Very nice find, congrats.

Thanks for the welcome!
As an update to this coin, ANACS attributes it as an RPM #8. Doesn't look much like the one here and to my further suprise gave it an EF40

That's definitely NOT RPM#8. Dunno why they would attribute it as such. Positioning is wrong, spread is wrong. I'm guessing they are using a completely different reference than I am.
Robert - bears possibility, not sure until I get the coin and check it over well....considering the coin is sent to me to begin with.
