I was searching a couple of rolls of the 2005-D Nickels and thought I had found a die clashed nickel.

But after an overlay of the obverse and reverse I see there is no contact in the area affected with the marks.
So I determined it was just die cracks. Bummer, I found several of them in the rolls. Even found two different types. One even had die scratches that I thought was used to conceal die clash... But, back to the microscope.

Bummer Coop If it were a nice clash or something, it may have even got an FS number like the speared buffalo (what a joke these are turning out to be). I have a few new rolls of nickels and California Statehood quarters that I 'm not even going to open. Maybe I should, cause I might find the ever elusive buffalo with a toothache, and sell it on Ebay for a couple hundred. What do ya think?

it seems to be a trend in the lat few years that coins with silly stupid names are never worth anything......wounded eagle, spitting horse, and the wounded buffalo...you know what i am talking about.......I am just waiting for the bottom to drop out of the extra leaf quarter market.....there are just soooo many out there I mean at any time on e bay there is between 300 and 900 auctions running for those coins.....if that is any indicator just imagine how many are out there
