Hope these pics load if not I will email Bob for help (again) Still looking thru my jar and I came across this 53 D which has a raised area resembling a D. I took a couple of pics and took 1 a little out of focus because it shows an outline of a D around the raised area. I posted this also on the CU forum and uploaded these pics there. Opinions?

to be completely honest i have never seen one of these errors in person..but i have seen a lot of pictures of them...so i could be wrong here.....but that is sure is what it looks like....

I loaded your photos John. The second one is very blurry. You may want to try another close-up of the date/MM area, and I will replace it...OK? Also, in my opinion, it does not look like a dropped letter. It looks like a die crack or flake or something. Maybe a better photo of that area may prove otherwise.

For those of you who have not seen a dropped letter error before, here is one I took out of a 1995 roll a few years ago. I believe the dropped letter is the B of LIBERTY.
