I sent in an application to the Numismatic Literary Guild back in February with a check for membership, should they accept me. The check cleared my bank back in March, but I never heard a word from them. Yesterday I received the NLG newsletter in the mail, so that prompted me to ask around a bit. It seems that they are notoriously poor at communicating with the members, and if I received a newsletter I must be a member. So there you have it...
Charles D. Daughtrey, NLG.
This is a goal I have aspired to achieve for well over ten years now. I have always wanted to write about this subject, and have that work published. It's the internet that did it - had it not been for the internet I would have had a much harder time getting anyone to listen to me.
My thanks goes out to the supporters of the site. Everyone from the donators to those who show up and participate, I thank you all. This is my dream, and as I work to make it come true I meet more and more good people in the process.

I got my card in the mail today, so I am definitely official. I got a welcome letter from Ed Reiter, the Executive Director.
