Fake user account requests

Be aware that I have been receiving between 5 and 10 "new user" account requests each week, and am being very leary about who I let join. A number of requests were obviously bogus, using porn sites as their home page, etc.

This message is to ask that anyone who wants to join and reads this message please send an email to cd@coppercoins.com asking for membership with some coin related information so I know it's a real collector asking to join - if you don't know anything about coins, just state so in the request message. I'm trying to weed through the applicants and pick which ones are real people and which are computer bots. A computer bot is unlikely to tell me they collect memorial cents.

I think you can get the drift. This is becoming a real pain in the butt, however the last thing I want to do is keep someone valid from joining. This forum is still open to the public....but not to computer bots.
