Raised marks on 55D- opinions?

With this coin in hand there is a pronounced raised area to the west of the MM on this coin. It has me intrigued. Has anyone seen this die before or does it look like well placed die crack bordering a raised area????

John: Thanks for images from different angles as it may help to figure out what you have. But I'm still puzzled what you have there? It appears to be a die gouge in one image and a miss-placed mintmark in another. But if that spread was out there it should have been noticed by now, but in some cases there are new discoveries. But I think it is die wear in the field West of the mintmark. Anomilies happen on coins when they first start circulating like a bag mark and then after years of circulation it appears a something else. So I would still hang onto it for now till other experts take a look. Maybe they will see something I don't. I don't see any evidence of RPM affect on the inside of the mintmark, but a good strong scraping of the die will raise the field in the marked area to cover die clashes to the point that some of the coins will be affected till the die flattens it self from continous use. So I would keep and mark it as something to hang onto.
