Wow my first post, I really enjoy a web site that is just about copper. You see I am a cent hound. I do have a large collection allready of rolls of wheats but this neighbor got a hold of about 100 rolls of 51s,52s,53s and wants to sell them to me for 2.50 @ roll. I have a hard time saying NO to deals like this. That is why I have some many rolls allready. So please give some advice on how to say No or convice me otherwise. Hope to post more in the future.
Thanks in advance Randy

Welcome to coppercoins Randy. If you get the 51,52,53 coins, there are a lot of RPMs that year. Take a look at some listed on the site. Here is the search tag:
http://www.coppercoins.com/advsearch.php
Type in the year and mintmark you want to see, and it will show you those dies. Also handy when you are trying to search for RPMs in different directions or even doubled dies. So you will know what to look for when you search. Of course there are the unlisted minors also to discover. So if you can afford it, go for it. Of cours if the are BU, then they are a STEAL at that price, so I'm figuring they are circulated. I used to search circulated Cents for RPMs until I realized that a 1956D-1MM-001 was worth 10X a circulated one. So I figured for for BU coins when I can get them. So it is up to you. The price is a little high. That would work out to 5 Cents a piece. I'v sold some searched ones for 2.20 Cents each to a collector who bought all my circulated Cents. I had over 100 rolls then. Nothing left for me in them, so I sold them.

Thanks for the input, search for errors, your killing me,lol. Yes I do that now with all roll purchases. The problem I have is with the hundreds of rolls I have been collecting since I was a kid in the 60s. I can not imagine me going through all of them so I am going to look up key error coins and start from there. Could I have an aspirin please Randy

I am finding it increasingly difficult to find wheaties for less than 4-5 cents apiece. Most of what I find on ebay turns out to be someone else's well worn searched over junk so I have resorted to advertising in the paper. The problem with that is all the quacks who call to ask if I am interested in buying the 10 wheat pennies they have had in their sock drawer for 30 years. It is getting tougher to find the goods to keep my love for the hobby alive. If I trusted your neighbor I would pay him the 5 cents in a heartbeat.
