I've been finding so many cents with extra thickness of the E Pluribus Unum, dots and wheat stems on so many different years including this 1942, I was wondering just how common they were.

That one is a doubled die. Not sure which one without other images of it yet, and it could be listed already or not not really sure.

Steven....I have been collecting those Class 6 Doubled dies for many years. You will find that there are a lot of them for certain years. The most different dies I have found have been for 1936, 1939 and 1942 I think there are at least a dozen varieties for each year. Because of the sheer number I have collected, I have been kinda slow in attributing them and putting them on the site. I have over 110 class 6 doubled dies for 1936 alone, snd it will be a daunting task to see which ones are duplicates and get them all attributed. But...keep looking on the site, as they are being listed often.

I will keep looking. I really like the photos with the varieties on this site. Decriptions only, for me, make it quite a bit harder to determine what I have but does help a lot. Just wish I was better at taking photos. Still learning though.
Thanks,
Steven

Don't worry about the photos. You will find that after the first thousand you will improve on each one. It just takes time to get what you want and sometimes you don't get it on the first take. Figure out what works for you and try to improve on your steps in taking the photo. Pretty soon you will like the images you take. I think they are great so far. Just need to be a little larger showing other details next to the letters/numbers/details so we can see what else is there. Looking forward to your next posts.
