I have noticed on several 1958D cents, that I have, a partial loop above the 8 without the other doubling unfortunately. When I saw this one listed it has this loop also. Is this a master die issue.
Thanks,
Steven

You are correct Steven. The doubling you see on some of the 8s of 1958 coins is indeed master die doubling. If you have a copy of Chuck's book, this doubling is identified on page 182.

On the home page of coppercoins.com, you willsee the new second edition book called 'Looking Through Lincoln Cents' on the lower left hand side. There is a link that will allow you to purchase one directly from Chuck. The second edition has more pages and is a bit more in depth than the first edition, so the pages I referenced may not be the same in both books. The first edition is sold out.

You are correct Steven...the paypal link is missing. I would send an email to Chuck at cd@coppercoins.com. Tell him you would like his book, and he will take care of you.
