Is 1948-S 1DO-001 the same as coneca DDO-1?

Is the 1948-S 1DO-001 on this site the same as coneca DDO-1?

From reading conecas site it looks like their DDO-1 is the same variety shown here but the listing here says it's coneca DDO-4 (a typo ?). It must be DDO-1 because they also say it's coupled with RPM-4 and the one here also says it is coupled with RPM-4.

It is the same die. You are correct in that the CONECA cross reference was wrong. It has been corrected. Thanks!

Hi Bob,

You might also check out the listing for 1951-D 1DO-001, it says it crosses to WDDO-005 but I think that one crosses to WDDO-001.

I wouldn't know on that one as I do not have a Wexler book to cross reference things to. I will write it down and find out. Thanks for bringing it up.
One thing to remember though is that the cross references we use are as a courtesy. They should be accurate when used, and thanks to inputs like yours, we will try to ensure it is. However, the purpose of this site is not to cross reference to other clubs numbers. We use the coppercoins numbers as assigned, and that is our primary numbering system. Placing cross references to other systems is not a priority for us...OK??

As I make finds from the pics here I sometimes send the nice high grade ones for grading and I try to do the attribution, to be sure I'm giving the right attrib I check on everyplace available.

I'm on a streak of finding ones with wrong crosses. I just found some 1946-s ddos and found a few more corrections for the crosses to note:

1DR-001 says it is coneca die-4 but it is not.
(I bet it is ddo-5/ddr-1)
IDR-002 should say it is coneca die-4.
(must be since both are coupled with rpm-3)

Tell you what you can do for me Ed....As you find these incorrect cross references, could you please just jot them down on an email and send them to me all at once? It would make it easier for me to print a hard copy and go right to the areas I need to rather than switching between threads on the forum trying to locate your lists. I will of course verify everything I can, and then make the corrections.
