This clogged number is not the result of another D. I have coins that show progression of this die clog. Not only that....this one gets much worse than this. I will see if I can't find the grouping I put aside for this. The clog started out as a relatively minor EDS die crack.

There have been a number of these from the 50s come up over time as possible misplaced mintmarks, and all of them have been batted down as die breaks, cracks, or chips.

Charles, I have an idea for a new book for you. Title it " No It's Not" and show the thousands of pictures of coins that are not Doubled Dies and RPM's that have been asked about.~lucky2

Believe me, I've thought of that over time. Unfortunately I'm about three books behind right now, so it would have to wait a couple of years.
