Could this be a "Class 9", Obv. Doubled Die?

Didn't notice any "bubbling" anywere on this 2005D. (Obv or Rev)

Also, thus far only this one, in a 2005D; $25.00 ... box.

Very interesting find. Considering that the doubling in question is near the center of the coin, I guess that it could be a doubled die, but think that more examples need to be found to have a better idea.

Don't know exactly what that is pennyhound, but to me, it does not look like any sort of class 9 doubling. It very well may be a bubble. It wouldn't be unheard of to only have one on a coin. Have you tried to 'flatten it out'? I would use the smooth portion of my fingernail to try and push it in a bit to see if it flattens out some. If it doesn't, I really don't know what to make of it.

Possible die gouge, but if you only found one in the $25 box, then probably could be just a bubble.

You know that I will let cha's know ... only 15 rolls in at this point, when I get a chance, I'll check for a bubble. (thumb nail test) Either way ... I'll post back.

Here is another one with the same thing going on. It looked like a wavy step till you see other locations of trapped gas below the plating. Again in the center of the pattern and the second over part of the field where it usually shows up.
