Yeah... couldnt make it either. I broke my thumb on Thurday night, and on Friday, my cousin had to have her apendix removed. Too much going on to take time to drive to Orlando.

Thanks for trying to make me feel better guys. At least you had excuses. I couldn't even lie and come up with one. Laughing I'll try harder next time. (making the show...not lying)

Lol Bob.

Not sure if you are refering to my broken thumb and to my cousins apendix operation, but Im serious about this stuff. I broke my thumb Friday while playing basketball and my cousin was taken to the hospital Saturday for a bursted apendix.

I know it sounds like a far fetched events to take place within a couple of days, but it is true. I didnt originally post my reason for not going to the show because I thought you guys would think I was full of it...

Anyways, I have a math test tomorrow, but wont be able to take it because I cant write (Im right handed and my right thumb was the one that broke). I hope the proffesor believes me that I really broke the thumb, and that Im not making it all up. Ill be taking my medical documents to prove to him that it is really broken, but the cast in my hand should be a heads up.

Gabe,

Sorry to hear of your misfortune, but I don't think Bob meant anything toward you by what he said. He meant that he had no excuse, and didn't want to have to come up with one - he just forgot.

Chuck is right Gabe. I didn't even realize that my post could be miscontrued as anything else except the way I meant it... Embarassed My statement was a joke about me being brain dead at the young age of 50. I did tell it like it was...I just plain forgot.
Your reason for not being able to attend sounds a little better than saying your excuse for not being able to attend. I aplologize if anything was misunderstood here. I certainly don't ever doubt what anyone says here...especially concerning health, friends and family. I sincerely hope both you and your cousin are doing better.

Lol Bob.

It is hard to tell the tone in which someone writes a post on this site or in any other site. My post was not in a serious tone, and since my cousin and I are fine, Im already laughing(also is my cousin) at all the things that happened to us last week. Laughing

I know that you werent making fun at me, or saying that my story was bogus. It is hard to tell from the comp the intented tone in which messages are written.

It was all a misunderstanding...

Bob, Gabe and Smed sorry you all could not make the show here in Orlando. Our Club will have a fall show September 8-10 and I would like for each of you to try and make this one. Each year the Club has a raffle to raise funds to operate and this year the ten prizes were all gold coins. I was the lucky winner for second prize and now have a one half ounce U.S. Gold Eagle. I got to say hello to BJ as he checked into the show while I was at the registration table, BJ wish I could have spent more time with you however from reading your post sounds like you had a good vist.
