I don't know if anyone is a fan of NASCAR racing but I had the opportunity to drive a 600 hp. stock car this weekend at Gateway International Raceway in St. Louis thanks to the Richard Petty Driving Experience. Words cannot express the thrill of finally getting the nerve of hitting/ doing 160+mph on the straights and trusting the tires and suspension to keep you from imminent death when taking the turns and crowding the wall on the way out!!!!! Needless to say it was terrifying for the first couple laps to keep up with the instructor leading me and crowd his bumper as required but a BLAST I'll never forget and hope to do again MUCH faster now that I have "lost my vigirnity". An experience of a lifetime my two brothers and I will never forget and recommend to all who like NASCAR! Awesome is and understatement!!!!

Me too! I would of loved to have taken that ride. I guess I will have to settle for the 20 MPH ride behind the old lady down the street! Do they have those driving experiences at other locations?

Thanks for the info Robert. I guess I will inquire about Talledega sometime. It would be a nice experience.

I will do that Doug...when I get back to my home. I will also need to find out the schedules at each of the tracks. I am not limited to Talledega, but it is the closest to me.
