It's an interesting and fun area of collecting. I've been looking into it recently and have been quite surprised at the large number of avid collectors there are.
My wife and son and I have been collecting elongated cents from places we've visited for a few years now. We really enjoy them as momentoes.
There are a few interesting websites that I have been introduced to as well as a few groups on yahoo dedicated to elongated coins. I'll post some of the addresses when I have a few minutes. _________________ Art

I do intend on adding a gallery of some of Garry's elongates as well as some I have and some images I have collected over time - probably 200-300 different ones from different periods of time and from different sorts of places. I may leave the topic open for suggestions to add additional pieces to the gallery once it's completed.
