Back to the 1949 S RPM?

I had a lot going on this week and didnt get a chance to really get a good shot of thje 1949S cent I had a question about last week.

That is until now...I think I got one that will work. Might this be a new one?

Hi All,
In looking at the picture, I also noticed something else. Does anyone see what has the shape of an S tucked in at an angle starting around thwe cross of the 4?
