Hmm....looks like acetone removed PVC coating - probably not going to have long term affects except the color, which won't last. Looks like it could be 1960D-1MM-102, which is a rather common D/D north. _________________ C. D. Daughtrey

This was in a plastic insert and looked like it had some kind of oil on it. Figured whatever that was on it must have cause the toning. I have come across several coins mostly silver that someone has put some kind of oily liquid in the holders with the coins. The liquid was or turned green with the silver coins. Seems kind of a messy way to attempt preserving a coin. Seems to me it would have an opposite effect and probably damage them.
