HI PENNY
In the back of the 2007 red book it list a 1970 red book if new at $7.00.If you have a new red book it will list all books from past.

To add, I don't know whether the price guide that lists the book it's printed in is necessarily accurate. I have heard that the values listed within are a bit on the high side. Very commonly I have seen issues of the Red Book sell for as little as a dollar. Not trying to deflate your confidence, just don't get your hopes up too high.

What do you mean by "Whitman books"? Do you mean the blue folders that show the coins on one side and fold out into three "pages"? Or the Bookshelf albums which have the acetate slides and can show both sides of the coins?

If you look in the classifieds in Coin World, there is a guy in Oshkosh, WI (Chief Coin Supplies, box 254, Oshkosh WI 54903-0254) who deals in those. Might be worth a few bucks if in good shape, or they might not. You might call him 920-231-6161. I have no business or personal relationship w/ that company.

There's another guy called "Nickel Trader" too. it appears he isn't as much into the folders as he once was.
