Can this type of coin be faked or done with one of those machines that alter (usally pennies)? This penny is the size of a nickel.

The broadstrike occurs when there is no collar to contain the outward metal flow when the coin is struck. Whether or not the same effect can be accomplished with one of the machines you mentioned, I highly doubt. I am sure there are other ways to produce this sort of thing, but it seems to be a lot of work to do so.
This coin looks as though it could be broadstruck, but I have some doubts myself. Do you have a pic of the reverse of the coin walkingdude??

The coin is real. I cant think of a way to cause that effect without affecting the design of the coin.

Yea from the front alone I thought it looked like somebody smashed it but from the reverse it looks real because of the slight bit of capping and how it looks pushed out from the center. It doesn't look like a person could fake it that way without a huge effort.
Gabe, was that your reasoning?

That's the exact reasoning of why I wanted to see the reverse of the coin. I was not convinced by the obverse pics alone. The sharper 'ring' around the devices followed by the stretched metal flow is a good diagnostic for a broadstrike. This may not always be the case.
My doubts originally were because the edges seemed odd and out of round. Although not a critical aspect of determining broadstikes, it still made me think a bit. You did not buy a fake.

Good I was getting worried. I've bought a couple of clips from this person.
